Responsibilities include:

To work as part of a team in a residential program
Supervision and monitoring of clients; fulfill overnight awake responsibilities of supervision and monitoring of all clients; hourly reporting (written and phone call-ins)
Behaviour Management
Assist clients with daily routines and personal care
Administer medication as needed
Household duties (ie. cleaning, laundry, meal prep, etc)
Data collection and documentation
Participate in all mandatory staff training
Shift work includes hours between 9 pm-9 am, including weekend rotation (MUST be able to stay until 9 am)

Qualifications/Experience:

Post-secondary certificate in DSW, CYW, SSW, or equivalent and/or related University degree and/or experience
Knowledge and experience in Mental Health, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Developmental Challenges
Ability to be an effective liaison with outside parties as required
Demonstrate a caring, nurturing, respectful, non-judgmental attitude
Good interactive/ communication skills (verbal and written)
Good organization and time management skills
Experience in medication administration an asset
Class ‘G’ Driver’s License beneficial
