Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Human Resources Director at Aletheia Construction Forensics Inc., located north of Toronto, ON, the role is flexible and allows for a blend of remote work and in person. The HR Director will be a strategic partner to the CEO and lead all aspects of HR for the company as well as leading the staffing aspects of company transformations undertaken by the company. The successful candidate will proficiently:

Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff
Lead the designing and implementation of roles and responsibilities, processes and operations manuals
Lead company re-structuring initiatives as a part of contracts awarded to Aletheia
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

At least three years leading a HR team

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
A minimum of three years of a lead role human resource management experience essential.
CPHR (or equivalent) Designation essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,216.78-$154,756.05 per year
